The Louisiana Indian Heritage Association has scheduled  the 42nd Annual Fall Powwow  at its new location, the Lamar Dixon Arena in Gonzales, LA, Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 29-30.

Intertribal and Gourd-Dancing, Native American crafts, food and storytelling, demonstrations and more   will be bountiful inside the sheltered arena.  The new location is more easily accessible to both metro New Orleans and metro Baton Rouge, and will provide shelter come rain or shine, organizers say.

Dancers, Native Americans and the general public are invited to this celebration of American Indian culture, dancing food and education.

This official LIHA Powwow is not affiliated with events scheduled at its former location in Robert, LA.
